Meet Tanis Lowe! Ms. Lowe is a level 1 educator and has been with 2000 days since our doors opened. Her adventurous spirit is one of many qualities that make her a perfect fit at 2000 days. Ms. Lowe creates an environment in the classroom that is ripe for exploration. She can often be found prepping for an exciting new activity to implement in the classroom. Ms. Lowe is an avid music lover, who often brings her guitar into
the classroom so that she can rock out with her students. Ms. Lowe loves
animals and regularly organizes events to fundraise for various animal related charities. Ms. Lowe is always exploring new events and workshops to assist her growth as an ECE.
Meet Alanna Jensen. Ms. Jensen is a level 3 educator who has been with us since January 2018. Ms. Jensen is a passionate educator who enjoys giving back to the community. She regularly volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters and Girl Guides of Canada. Ms. Jensen has creative spirit and loves to play. She can often be found on the floor fully engaged with her students. She is always implementing exciting new activities with her class. Ms. Jensen loves networking with other educators in the childcare community. She loves attending workshops, events and any opportunity to further her professional development.
Meet Yunjin Eu! Ms. Eu is a level 3 educator and has been with us since June of 2019. Ms. Eu speaks Korean as well as English. Ms. Eu is a calm and patient educator who always provides her students
with the greatest love and care. Before coming to 2000 days, Ms. Eu taught music classes in Korea. Ms. Eu can often be found introducing her students to new songs and stories. She enjoys playing various music from all over the world within the classroom.
Meet Brenda Turley! Ms. Turley is a level 1 educator who has been with 2000 days since April 2019. She has 2 daughters of her own, and is part Norwegian and part Polish. Ms. Turley has a creative eye; and regularly implements fun new sensory activities into the classroom. Ms. Turley loves reading to her students, she can often be found introducing new stories to her students. She enjoys collecting antiques and refurbishing old furniture. Ms. Turley loves the open road and rides a motorcycle on her spare time!
Meet Angela Campbell! Ms. Campbell has her level 3 and has been with 2000 days since September of 2017. During the summer months, Ms. Campbell enjoys introducing German to her students. She is a licensed Zumbini instructor, who is passionate about music and movement. Ms. Campbell is often found singing, dancing and getting silly within the classroom. She loves hiking, being outdoors and takes part in various fitness classes. Her love of fitness and music is what inspired her to pursue her Zumbini instructor training, which she offers as an extracurricular within 2000 days. Ms. Campbell is a life long learner who rarely turns down an opportunity to further her growth as an educator.
Meet Sri Casmali! Ms. Casmali is a level 1 educator who has been with us since August 2018. She speaks Bahasa as well as English. Ms. Casmali is passionate about her work with children, she has a genuine interest in all areas of childhood development. Ms. Casmali can often be found teaching through play within the classroom. She is always providing fun new challenges to assist in her students growth. She is a lover of all things food and loves creating fun new recipes in the kitchen. Before starting her journey as an educator, Ms. Casmali worked in catering. She frequently attends workshops and conferences to further her development as a professional.
Meet Chaka Brown! Ms. Brown is a level 1 educator and has been a part of the 2000 days team since February of 2016. Ms. Brown is fluent in French along English. With 3 boys of her own, it is no
wonder that Ms. Brown has the exuberant energy to keep up with her students. Ms. Brown is a caring and compassionate caregiver, who creates a warm and loving atmosphere within the classroom. She is often busy singing, dancing. Ms. Brown enjoys cars, trucks and mechanics. Ms. Brown is a continuous learner who is always looking for opportunities to grow as a professional.
Meet Rexie Farinas. Ms. Farinas is a level 3 educator and has been with us since September of 2017. Ms. Farinas speaks Filipino along with English. Her fun-loving sense of humour and out of the box creativity is what makes her a fantastic team member. Her optimistic energy is contagious. She can often be found singing, dancing and getting silly in the classroom. Ms. Farinas is artistically inspired, she is regularly implementing new and exciting art experiences into the classroom. Along with teaching, Ms. Farinas is a passionate learner, who is always searching for opportunities to grow as an educator.
Meet Shannon Scherger! With a name as sweet as it sounds, it is only fitting that Ms. Scherger is as sweet as sugar. Ms. Scherger has been with 2000 days since October of 2018 and has her level 1 in Early Childhood Development. She is no stranger when it comes to children, she has 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren of her own. She is a high energy individual, who can often be found singing, dancing and laughing in the classroom. Ms. Scherger enjoys yoga and spending time with her grandbabies.
Meet Muna Abdirahman! Ms. Abdi is a level 1 educator and has been with us since April of 2019. Ms. Abdi speaks Arabic and Somali, as well as English. Ms. Abdi thoroughly enjoys being outside, especially during the cool crisp Autumn season. With a Pre-k son of her own, it is no wonder that Ms. Abdi is such a compassionate and caring educator. Ms. Abdi has an adaptable personality, making her an excellent fit within 2000 days. She can often be found helping in other classrooms, laughing wholeheartedly and singing softly along with her students.
Meet David Mottle! Mr. Mottle is a level 1 educator who has been with us since March of 2019. Mr. Mottle is a family man who thoroughly enjoy spending time with his wife and son. He loves playing various video and strategy-based games. He can often be found introducing new cooperative activities in the classroom. Before coming to 2000 days, Mr. Mottle worked as an educator at Janus Academy, where he worked with children with autism. He enjoys being outdoors but wouldn’t consider himself much of an outdoorsman.
Meet Fame Luechai! Ms. Luechai is a level 1 educator who has been with 2000 days since January of 2017. She is an easygoing, amiable individual who is always happy to help, making her a perfect team member. Ms. Luechai has an artist’s eye and enjoys all things fashion related. She loves to dress up, as well as bringing dress up activities into the classroom. Ms. Luechai loves learning new things and is constantly seeking new opportunities to grow. Ms. Luechai is currently attending school for accounting but loves spending time at 2000 days on her off months.
Meet Josephine Tupino! Ms. Tupino is a level 1 educator and has been a part of 2000 days since September 2017. Ms. Tupino speaks Filipino along with English. With her warm and playful sense of humour, it is no wonder that she is a favourite among her students. Ms. Tupino is a warm and nurturing caregiver who loves to sing and dance. Ms. Tupino is an active member within her community assisting in church and catering events. Ms. Tupino is currently enrolled at Bow Valley where she is working toward her level 3.
Meet Candace Lennie! Ms. Lennie is a level 1 educator who has been with 2000 days since September of 2019. She was an art teacher for 10 years before coming to 2000 days; and is an active artist in the community. She can often be found implementing creative art experiences with her students. Ms. Lennie loves animals and frequently rides horses during her
free time. With 3 grown children of her own, and one granddaughter, it is obvious that Ms. Lennie loves being a role model for children.
Meet Rose Jang! Ms. Jang is a level 3 educator who obtained her level in Vancouver B.C. She originally hails from South Korea; and frequently flies home to visit her family. Ms. Jang enjoys camping, hiking and rarely turns down an opportunity to try something new. She brings a multicultural flair to 2000 Days and enjoys incorporating her love of language into the classroom. Ms. Jang is happily married and hopes to start a family of her own in the near future.
Meet Haillie Whittle! Ms. Whittle is a level 1 educator who has been with us since January 2019. With an eye for organization, it is no surprise that Ms. Whittle creates a top-notch environment within 2000 Days. She is a creative individual who enjoys expressing herself through various artistic outlets. Ms. Whittle is often found in the art centre engaged with her little ones. Her aesthetic for all things visual makes her an excellent asset to our team, she is regularly assisting other educator with their art projects; she has even taken up face painting during our events within the school.
Meet Chef Jay Burris. Jay has been with us since March of 2018, he is the creator of the delicious meals that we enjoy everyday. His passion for cooking originates from P.E.I, where he lived and studied culinary arts. Jay is a music lover; he can often be found dancing in the kitchen while prepping some yummy snacks.
Meet Marlene Kepka! Marlene was inspired to open 2000 days after searching for the perfect early years program for her son Owen. She wanted to create a high-quality program with a research-based curriculum; a place where she would feel confident sending her children. Marlene grew up in Manitoba; she has been in the childcare field for 15 years. She is a very charismatic individual who enjoys meeting new people; She loves welcoming new families into the center. She can often be found buzzing around from classroom to classroom engaging with staff and children. Marlene has twin daughters and a son, who keep her on her toes. She is also a licensed real estate agent.
Meet Daniel Kepka! Daniel is the other owner of 2000 days. He is often hidden behind the scenes, taking care of maintenance, technology and all the general upkeep within the center. Daniel is a licensed real estate agent. He was born in Poland, he enjoys traveling; his goal is to see 90% of the world one day. Daniel is very handy and often comes in on his weekends to take care of any wear and tear within the center. If Marlene is the heart of 2000 days, then Daniel is brains; he drives the business, while creating a clean and professional facility.
